Can’t believe we’re already here, but it’s MICRO MONDAY WEEK TEN! And it’s April 1st, which means it’s officially National Poetry Month! To celebrate, we’re adding some micro poetry to the mix each week. In addition to our two weekly micro prose pieces, we’ll be publishing one micro poem as well. Although, if you ask me, you’re extra lucky this week, because one of our prose pieces really treads that poetry line.
Week ten brings us prose from Francesca Leader and Amy DeBellis, and poetry from D.W. Baker. The common thread here is duality. Each of these pieces confronts the notion of mutual exclusivity—wrestling with it, defying it, rejecting it, marveling at its deficiency. I admire these writers’ bravery, submerged in the mess of dissected truths.
