Welcome back, loyal Identity Theory Micro Monday stans! We have returned, as promised, with season two. We have seven weeks of bite-size poetry and prose to help ease your descent into seasonal depression (or is that just me?). Whether you love or hate this time of year, it’s the time for decay in the Northern Hemisphere; the time for hibernation, for a mirrored withdrawal from the light, for creating our own warmth. Let’s read some.
Week one features prose from Meg Pokrass and V Garmon Koski. I wanted to start this season off not with the comforts of early fall (chunky scarves, pumpkin spice, a crisp fallen leaf), but with the heavy heat of late summers that just won’t give up the ghost.
Enjoy,
Vic
